Butterfly House

Last Sunday we joined our good friends from Cape, The Dickerson's, at the Butterfly House, http://www.butterflyhouse.org/ ,in Chesterfield and then to lunch at Fitz's, http://www.fitzsrootbeer.com/ . Jack wasn't too interested in the butterflys, but loved the playground and chasing the ducks in the park. We headed to the Loop for lunch and yummy Fitz's rootbeer floats!

Pig Roast

Thanks to everyone who made our Annual Pig Roast a success!!! Of course I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off, trying to be the hostess with the mostest, and really didn't get to take many good pic's. We did endure a little rain shower but still managed to have a great time.

Basement Update

Okay so we've had about a million things going on in the Thompson household this past month so blogging has fallen to the way side. So be prepared for a few posts!!

The basement is moving right along. We had the carpet installed and Darrell is working on getting baseboards up. It actually looks finished now!! We are going to wait on cabinets probably till after Christmas, but we are almost there.

Do I get a $1 from the tooth fairy??

I just got home from having a root canal done and my mouth is killing me. I have to wait for Walgreens to fill my pain meds.
Let's see can this week get any better??? First I'm told I am losing my job as of Oct. 2. I just had a root canal done and was told how much it's going to cost, holy begeezes!!!!

Updates: Carpet is being laid in basement as I type. And our freinds the Nolan's are at the hospital welcoming the birth of their new baby today!! Good luck Laura and welcome Baby Nolan!!
