First Steps
Megan's been trying for awhile now and will walk if you hold on. But today the Junebug took 3 independent steps!!!! Can't believe how quick this time is going. It seems like it took forever for Jack to walk, but he was just about the same age as Megan, almost 13 months! Guess it's time to update child-proofing!

Marine Week St Louis
It's been Marine Week here in St. Louis this past week. There has been all kids of demonstrations all week long, so we took the kids down today to see some of the equipment. Jack had to climb up into each one! However I think the highlight for him was the Marine Corp. Band. And the very, very nice Marine that let Jack hold and look at his tuba. The demo's were very cool and a very big thank you to all who serve!! And what day wouldn't be complete without an icecream!
Father's Day at Mark Twain Lake
For Father's Day this year Darrell and his dad headed up to Mark Twain Lake for a few days and then we met up with them for Father's Day. Jack loves Pa-pa's boat and loves the water even more! My BIL and nephew even got to get some tubing in as well. The kids and I headed up on Saturday and then I left Jack with Darrell overnight to campout. The weather was a little crazy, but just added to the weekend!

Grants Farm
So over the winter Darrell and I made a list of things to do with the kids. So far we're doing pretty well with the list! Today's adventure was to Grants Farm. Darrell had never been there and I haven't been since highschool. Everyone had a great time. Jack enjoyed his first sno-cone of the year and I enjoyed the beergarden!!! They give out free samples...I didn't want to be rude(haha). We had a great day, the weather finally broke, and the kids were asleep before we ever got to the highway!

Magic House 2011
Yesterday we joined the Nolan's at The Magic House. I haven't been there since I was a kid so I was just as excited as Jack to explore! It is always so much fun to see Jack discover new things. He gets so excited about everything! He loved climbing through the tunnels and of course he loved the giant "twirly" slide. On the way home I asked him what his favorite part was, and he replied " I love going to the grocery store!" Don't you love the grocery store too, Mommy?" A local grocery chain sponsored a mock grocery store with produce, dairy, can-goods, and registers. Jack filled his basket, checked out, then proceeded to take his groceries to the truck to go home. Ya gotta love the imagination of a 3 yr. old!! Megan had a good time too. She loves to people watch. And thanks to "Grandma Talbot" for helping!!

Happy 1st Birthday Megan!!!
Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet little Junebug! This past year has completely flown by. As a mom you remember every little minute of the day your child was born. Like how anxious I was to see Megan. Who would she look like? Would it be a scary c-section like Jack or go as planned? In the end the things I remember most are watching Darrell's face as Megan was born, hearing Dr. Rose tell me "she has red hair, she has red hair!", hearing that sweet first cry, and finally holding my baby girl in my arms for the first time! Megan has made me laugh, cry the happiest tears, and made me a better mom! I love you Megan, happy birthday!!
