Husband vs. Wife
Someone needs to explain to me how my husband can spend hours in the middle of no where, track, and kill a deer, with out any problem but cannot seem to find things in a drawer, cabinet, or freezer in our house.
Why do men have this problem? I remember my dad would claim my mom would "hide" things, when in reality he never really "looked" for them.
Tonights example...I made apple pie and told Darrell that we had vanilla ice cream, in the freezer outside,to go with it. He goes out side and comes back with no ice cream, claiming there is not vanilla in the freezer. I go out and open the freezer, move a bag of frozen veggies, and voila...vanilla ice cream!! Darrell just smiled at me. I however don't understand. It was right there!!!!!!! LOOK for it.
Is this why husbands always ask their wives, Have you seen my...fill in the blank? Are we the keepers of all knowledge for things they have misplaced? And why is that? He lives here too. He knows where things are.
Again he still asks if we have toliet paper...knowing full well that if it isn't under the sink, there should be some in the hall closet. If it's not there, then we're out. It have been like this since we've lived together!! (we've never un out)And I know Darrell's mom has the same system as well. But alas I hear..
"Honey do we have any toliet paper?"
I reply.."Did you look?"
"Umm. no."
Again I reply, "Well then look."
Really it's a simple concept. Even Jack knows where his diapers are. You can ask him to go get one and sure enough, he'll toddle back to his room and get one out of the basket. Not once yet has he had to ask where they are. And he's only 1 1/2!!!!!

Basement progress
With summer in full swing here in St. Louis, we've not been able to work on the basement too much. We've been busy with birthdays, holidays, and injured puppies! But...Darrell has managed to get bits and pieces done on the basement. Tile is set!!! Darrell finished the bathroom and moved on to the kitchen. It looks awesome, I married Bob the builder!!
