Megan and Jack

Should I be worried...

Jack has a new obsession. Every time I get ready, he says, "Jack pump, Jack pump!" I've tried to explain to him that only mommies can pump, but I don't think it's clicking in! (too funny)

Little things I love about Megan

so far....
That she gets a little "Budda Belly" after she has a bottle.
that she give a little smile right after she burps.
that she burps like a sailor!
that she sleeps about 6 hours straight right now!!!
that holding her in my arms usually calms her down right away.
that she sleeps through Jack singing/screaming songs.

A few things...

We've been busy this week. Visited Grandma and Grandpa Abt in Ste. Gen, played in the sand box, had lunch with Brown Bunny, Darrell's birthday today, and Megan update.

First: We headed down to Ste. Genevieve to see my mom and dad and to visit with Grandma Strubbe. She had not met Megan yet.

Second: Jack's been busy playing and being 2 1/2!

Third: Happy Birthday Darrell!!!!! We love you!

Fourth: Megan had her 2 month check up today and is doing great! She is 12lbs. 7oz. and 22 inches long now. Her numbers are all where they should be and she got her first round of shots. She screamed for just a second and then calmed down. Let's hope they all go that smoothly.

In between snuggle time

Now that Megan is part of our family I've notice how big Jack is getting. How it seems to me that Jack was never as little as Megan. Jack has ventured into the "no" phase. "No" to being held, "no" to bath time, "no" to almost every question asked! However last night, while reading bedtime stories to Jack, he came up to me in the rocker and asked to sit on my lap. He hasn't sat on my lap for story time for awhile now, so of course I said "yes!" He climbed on up and helped me finish his book. We said prayers, he turned around on my lap and said, "night-night mommy, love you." I got a bedtime kiss and watched my little boy climb in his bed.

I am somewhere in between snuggles. Jack seems to be growing out of them and Megan hasn't quite started yet!
