Swimming

Thank goodness for our sundivision pool!!! Here in MO we've been really hit hard with the summer temps. Today is really the first day in about 2 weeks we've been able to play outside for more than about 20 minutes! These were Megan's first swimming trips and she loves the water!!!

Fishing

I've had a bunch of stuff to post and I am sort of out of date order so here we go! A couple weeks ago we were out at Darrell's parents house and Jack fished for the first time with his own pole. I think it was beginners luck....

Happy 1st Birthday Megan!!!

Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet little Junebug! This past year has completely flown by. As a mom you remember every little minute of the day your child was born. Like how anxious I was to see Megan. Who would she look like? Would it be a scary c-section like Jack or go as planned? In the end the things I remember most are watching Darrell's face as Megan was born, hearing Dr. Rose tell me "she has red hair, she has red hair!", hearing that sweet first cry, and finally holding my baby girl in my arms for the first time! Megan has made me laugh, cry the happiest tears, and made me a better mom! I love you Megan, happy birthday!!

Kansas City

Last weekend I had a mini girls trip to K.C. to see the Princess Diana exhibit. Had a great time with the girls! Ate a little, drank a little, was educated a little. An all around good weekend.

The Diana exhibit was so amazing. Her wedding dress was the highlight. Darrell asked me why I was excited about the dress and I told him, "Diana is the real life Disney Princess!"

Thanks to me 2nd mom, Mrs. Jersa, we even had a history lesson while visiting KC. We stopped by the "Steamboat Arabia" museum on our way home. It was very cool. I was suprised. The boat sank in the Missouri river and when the river shifted it ended up in a farmers field, buried like treasure. The story is an very interesting one so if you get to KC, please visit the museum and meet one of the "treasure hunters."

Big Boy Bike

So we've been working on the whole potty training thing for awhile now and Jack is doing great. He's been keeping his pants dry almost everyday. We're so proud of him! So as a reward we've been filling in a sticker chart with the end goal of a big boy bike. Check my big boy out!!!
