Snooze alarm

The alarm clock gods have smiled upon us this past week. (knock on wood)
Jack has been sleeping through the night!!!!!!!!! I however still wake up about 2:00am and still check on him, but I think that's a mom thing. I'll probably still do it when he's 16, only to check to make sure he's home!!!!!!
I've been able to hit the snooze alarm twice this week and get ready for work without interruption. I hope this isn't a fluke.

And some even better news.... my very good friends Susanne and Lenn Knese welcomed their identical twin girls into the world over the weekend. Isabella and Chloe are healthy and doing well. As is mom. Good Luck to the new parents and enjoy the ride!

Calgon Take Me Away!

So I've been absent from posting the last couple of weeks because I am learning how to juggle. Juggle, you say? Yep. Juggling only a mom can understand. I started a new job that is requiring me to spend about 45 minutes each way in the car, found out Jack will need a new daycare in 2 weeks, trying to keep up with my house, and oh yeah spending time with my family! You hear all these stories about working moms vs. stay-at-home moms and think it won't affect you, but it does. And it SUCKS!!!! I get about 15 minutes with Jack in the morning before I have to take him to daycare. Then get about 2 hours at night, which is busy getting dinner ready, laundry, dishes, and getting Jack a bath, fed, and to bed at a decent hour. And now our daycare informed me last night that she will no longer be able to care for Jack as of May 2. So now Darrell and I are scrambling to find daycare that is close to home, within our price range, and is available for the hours we need. Sorry about the rant, but it was time to let off some steam.
And to top it off post pregnancy hormones are taking over and I'm breaking out like a 13 year old girl!!!! I'm 3......28 years old for goodness sake. I should not have to deal with acne anymore.

Okay, I'm not back to work anymore. The job that I was offered was not the right fit. So now I am back at home with Jack. So back to the blog.

There have been the first signs of spring pop up with in the last few days. We have green grass because of all the rain we have been getting and the trees are starting to bud out. We visited my mom and dad for Easter on Sunday and in Ste. Gen the daffodils are blooming. Although we drove down in the snow. Crazy Missouri weather! I am so ready for warm weather and BBQ. I can't wait to take Jack out to the Zoo and the park.

Jack has finally kicked the cold he had and is feeling much better. Jack has been giving us a break and sleeping about 4 hours at a time for the last 3 nights. So I get up about 12:00 and Darrell is up with him before he goes to work at 4:00. Thank goodness I'm hoping this is the start of sleeping through the night. We started him on cereal, which he loves, and increasing his bottle to help. I think he'd be sleeping through the night if he could just tolorate a wet diaper. Oh well, it could be worse.

You Gotta Love Spring

It's turned out to be another lovely day in Missouri! It's been raining since I got up this morning. And with the spring rain has come a cold. Jack has been blessed with a snotty nose and a cough to bring in spring. I should have known this would happen since he had his shots last week. He got sick with the last round of shots too. Needless to say Jack has been wanting to be held non-stop and the only break I can get is when he attempts a nap which is not working as of now so I'll try to finish later!

Could it be anymore dreary today! I woke up this morning and looked outside to find no sun and a grey sky. It has slowly become darker and now it's raining. Today is what I call a "jammie day". Meaning you stay in your pajamas and cover up all day.

Jack has taken to the idea. We had our breakfast and he decided it was time for another little nap. It must be wonderful to be able to nap whenever you feel like it.
