Okay, I'm not back to work anymore. The job that I was offered was not the right fit. So now I am back at home with Jack. So back to the blog.
There have been the first signs of spring pop up with in the last few days. We have green grass because of all the rain we have been getting and the trees are starting to bud out. We visited my mom and dad for Easter on Sunday and in Ste. Gen the daffodils are blooming. Although we drove down in the snow. Crazy Missouri weather! I am so ready for warm weather and BBQ. I can't wait to take Jack out to the Zoo and the park.
Jack has finally kicked the cold he had and is feeling much better. Jack has been giving us a break and sleeping about 4 hours at a time for the last 3 nights. So I get up about 12:00 and Darrell is up with him before he goes to work at 4:00. Thank goodness I'm hoping this is the start of sleeping through the night. We started him on cereal, which he loves, and increasing his bottle to help. I think he'd be sleeping through the night if he could just tolorate a wet diaper. Oh well, it could be worse.

You Gotta Love Spring
It's turned out to be another lovely day in Missouri! It's been raining since I got up this morning. And with the spring rain has come a cold. Jack has been blessed with a snotty nose and a cough to bring in spring. I should have known this would happen since he had his shots last week. He got sick with the last round of shots too. Needless to say Jack has been wanting to be held non-stop and the only break I can get is when he attempts a nap which is not working as of now so I'll try to finish later!

Could it be anymore dreary today! I woke up this morning and looked outside to find no sun and a grey sky. It has slowly become darker and now it's raining. Today is what I call a "jammie day". Meaning you stay in your pajamas and cover up all day.
Jack has taken to the idea. We had our breakfast and he decided it was time for another little nap. It must be wonderful to be able to nap whenever you feel like it.

Jack Goes to the Doctor
Today Jack had his 4 month appt. with the Dr. and did just great. He is in the 25th percentile or just above it in all catogories. He weighed in at 15.45 lbs. and is 24 inches long now. He's come a long way from his birth weight of 6 lbs! Dr. Barth seemed very happy with his growth and so we're on the right track. We also set a few new milestones this week. Jack has learned how to roll from his back to his stomach, which makes me very nervous and Jack very upset. And we started rice cereal tonight with his last bottle.
My parents always said that kids grow up really fast and now I'm a believer. It seemes like we just brought Jack home from the hospital yesterday. Everyday is something new and exciting.

Foodie Fridays
With spring in the air I thought I'd pull out a good summer recipe that can be used as a meal or as a side dish.
Tortellini Salad
1 Pkg. small frozen cheese tortellini
1 bunch cherry tomatoes
1 jar of artichoke hearts, marinated
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/3 cup Roasted Garlic Vinaigrette (Marzetti)
Cook tortellini, drain, rinse, and cool
Chop artichoke hearts in half and combine in a large bowl with tomatoes and pasta
Pour 1/3 cup viniagrette over mixture and toss gently
Refridgerate for about an hour, top with cheese and toss again.
Once Lent is over add chicken to make it a full meal! Enjoy.

I guess computers are like just like people, they get sick for some stupid unknown reason and shutdown for a few days to recover with the help of virus protection/medicine.
I have been with out our computer for almost 6 days and it was killing me. I didn't realize how connected I was to the stupid machine until it wouldn't work! But hopefully now Darrell has worked out the kinks and I should be safely up and running until it gets sick again.
You wouldn't think you'd miss that much being offline for that long but now it's as important as the cell phone. Like, I just found out my very good friend, who used to live next door to me when I was a kid, just had her baby...4 days ago!!!! And for those of you who know that I'm serching for a new job, it's very difficult to look for a job without internet access. So here I go back to the job hunt.
